Got an Offensive NCT on monday, played a couple of times with it so far.

It's a very different blade to my Offensive CR. It's thicker, at 5.76 vs 5.49mm but feels a lot stiffer and faster. The core feels softer too. I'm not sure what the NCT layer does (little I suspect).

Quite good feel for both short and long, though it's not the best I've ever used. Speed is pretty good; not as fast as any of my 7 plies (obviously), not as fast as my klhw special edition either. Faster and stiffer than the P500 and OC CR.

The blade throws quite low - I was having difficulty flicking (still am) with the same rubber mounted (Omega 3e). This probably has to do with the harder surface.

I've put this PT50 on it. We'll see how that works out on it.

Well, in that case... You'd better send him one to test and review....

NCT is introduced to generate more revenue for Stiga...

You've got 2 now don't you?
I'd be happy to receive one from you

And yeah. What Rok said. Introduced by Stiga to sell more of the same thing, but this time with a special layer of nanotubes (not provable obviously) that come in varnish form.

Actually the two he has: one is old version with hollow handle and the other is newer version with solid handle...

He has to send both for thorough review and comparison between the two versions...

Does it have the bad finish like some other Stiga blades (rough edges, handle etc.)?

yeah.
But that's just Stiga being Stiga and I always give it a quick once over with a fine grit paper.

Go with Stee-gah and you will be as close to correct as possible and understood by Swedes in general. Please forgive Speedplays accent - he is a Southerner (which in most cases means greatness in one form or another, however not when it comes to cleancut Swedish pronounciation).

Being a Southerner myself I can hardly believe I just said that. I am sorry Speedplay, I just betrayed my heritage ;)

I am looking for a blade slightly faster than stiga offensive wood nct, but equally or more flexible. I guess I need something harder but equally flexible. Thanks for any suggestions.

Thanks, but too expensive. What about avalox p500? It is rated off+ on this site. And what about DHS pG3 or PG2? I can't find the composition of these blades.

P500 I can assure you is most definitely not Off+, even though I have never used it.

the PG3 is a cheaper, slower, flexier Hurricane King. The PG2 is an OC clone, has the STIGA feel (Vibration but still loops good)

PG2 is for soft looping (arcy, high spin) while PG3 is for hard looping (Ma long style, hard hitting)

PG3 flexier than HK is unexpected, given that PG3 is thicker. Thanks for the info.

After today's training I am not so sure I need something faster than Offensive NCT anymore. I'll give this blade more time.
