Yep what Silver said!

RE: Spinmax, no we won't be getting this in. Since the stuff is highly flammable it becomes hard and expensive to ship. We have quite a few other cleaners which can do the job just fine. :D

Oh, I see, that's why.
I bought the Juic rubber cleaner II from you - is that also equally effective for maintaining tackiness of rubber? If not, which cleaner you stock is the best non-flammable substitute for Spinmax in this regard?

Cheers

I really don't think you need to worry about it so much. You really don't want to have rubbers that tacky. It's possible for the ball to stick too much. I play very seriously, but all I ever use to clean my rubbers is a bit of water, and about once a week on half-tacky rubbers, or non-tacky if it's dirty, I use a little bit of Butterfly's Rushawa cleaner. I don't like using that on full-tack rubbers since it seems to actually remove tackiness from them rather than restore it.

Yes all the cleaner I've used work fine. It's more important to keep it clean, and keep the plastic protection sheets on after it's cleaned and dried.

Thanks haggisv/Alex and Hobbes for your advice...

Table tennis equipment purchases can be hefty investments (especially if one is considering multiple racquets) and it's good to know something about rubber-care.

The one at the bottom of the page.
The Toni Hold Foil. Does this stuff work? Can it be used with traditional pimples besides the treated?
Will it turn my W.Sclager carbon or Tibhar H-1-9 into a joo se hyuk?

(I'm getting ready for the ban )

.....I think Alex should consider getting this in his shop :thumright: :thumright: :thumleft:

cheers

I remember this stuff being discussed here...and coming to the conclusion it does not do much... I'll have to try and find it now...

So far, no one in the known world has tried it. Paul P has some stock, but didn't try it himself either.

Toni Hold's other products are great (I was a huge Virus II fan), so I wouldn't be surprised if this "foil" did do something useful. Not sure about turning a Boll Tricarbon into a Kenny Pro however.

Alex,

May I suggest a couple more "custom bats" in that section of the shop?

It seems to be lacking penholder bats. I suggest a c-penhold bat with 2 x inverted and a bat with 1 x inverted and 1 x pips.

not just c-pen but also j-pen

this is one reason why i though my ooakt guide to perfect setup would of been good, caus you could of taken some of the good combo's and make a custom bat for sell from them, if you catch my drift

Yeah, that's a good idea.

I have two friends - both penholders, who are looking to start playing TT again. It would be a lot easier for them if they weren't overwhelmed by the large amount of rubbers and blades available, and could simply click & purchase one product from the online shop.

It's a much better option than pre-made's anyway.
