Having tried quite a few different new balls from various players at my club, I can say from my personal perspective, every seamless ball I tried seemed wobbly and unstable. If I could remember the brands I would list them, as I'm certain that plays a big part in how reliable they may or may not have been.

However I will say that surprisingly the Yinhe 40+ seamed plastic ball proved to be the most stable and similar to the celluloid ball that I tried, closely followed or equaled by the Nittaku 40+ seamed plastic ball.

I am pretty sure Yinhe 40+ is seamless, made by XSF.

The only way I have ever broken one is when someone hits really hard and hits the corner metal edge of the table. I have had a bunch remain playable after 20 hours of play.

I can't say how old or what treatment this ball had taken....but the players were our president and manager and the shocked look on the presidents face seemed to indicate he wouldn't have expected that to happen.

I find the XSF ball durable as well. I have only broken one, and it happened when I hit the top edge of the paddle on a very hard swing. The ball had a large hole in it afterwards. On the bright side, it seems you will always know immediately when the ball is broken. No guess work is involved.
