Primorac: OFF-
Korbel: OFF

Both are 5 ply all wood.

Then there's Primorac Carbon: OFF+

There is also a difference between the Z. Primorac and the original Primorac, not sure what it is.... it may be that one i s made in Japan, the other (Z. Primorac) in Europe.

Considering ordering a Korbel for a mate of mine from the UK. Got partnered up with a guy from Northern Ireland who played exceptionally well with his Korbel in recent 2 man tournament (his one was about 2-3 years old). Wouldn't dream of getting a Primorac - the one I got from Inters pl in 2013 was a big disappointment. Had not realised that the Primorac & Korbel were made in different countries which might explain the real differences. From memory on the Pros list of equipment choices the Korbel seems to be used by modern day defenders with a LP. My partner used something like a Bluefire M1 & an S1.

By current standard, Korbel is a defensive blade. :)

Primorac then even more so - speed is slower?

The best defender I have seen recently in the region uses a Primorac with a Feint 3 0.5 and Tenergy 80 making a lot of backspin from the pips with that combination, it might not be for everybody, I do better with the Feint on the Defplay rather than the Primorac but will put some time in with it after watching him take apart some high level players; I think the 2 outer plies of Limba makes it a viable chopping blade

Yes. :)

I dont agree that Primorac (original) is slower, but still agree that, in a sense, Primorac also a defensive blade, by current standard, because it is still slow enough.

Imho, these two are defensive

Korbel Speed good for blocking and chopping. Slow, medium hardness, medium stiffness

Primorac can do anything well except drive, cause it slow.

Imho, these two are offensive

Primorac Carbon make a good driver blade. Fast, stiff, hard

Primorac EX is a good looper blade. Medium fast, soft, flexible.

There's a difference between a Korbel Speed blade and a Petr Korbel blade with the Speed variant being a slower blade.

Where is the logic in that? :o

Even butterfly make mistakes on how they name their blaðes. :)
Local supplier who at the time was getting away from butterfy had 2 blaðes remaining - a T5000 and the korbel speed. When I checked out the Korbel speed I could see why it was still 'left on the shelf'.

On the list of Slovakia sites that were posted recently they have listed the Korbel (Made in Japan) separately from the standard Korbel. I would imagine that the Made in Japan is probably made in China.

A little ironic. Just received my 'new' 40+ Butterfly seamed poly balls which are still made in China and I wanted the ones made in Germany. Now with the BTY blades we're looking for the ones made in Asia.

We have both as well, I must check them out more carefully to see if I can spot the difference.
