Out of curiosity - I know cheap OX (long, medium, short) pips out topsheets are plain rubber. There's no cloth "reinforcement" as they had in the old hardbat days - you'd find this cloth backing on British Leyland rubber as well as the OX hard rubber sheets sold by, say, Butterfly. This lack of a cloth layer makes OX sheets difficult to attach to blades, especially if you use water based cements - ONE mistake and ARGH..... :@ .. Gluesheets make the job easier, but cloth backing would be better. What I'd like to know is.. for those expensive long pips OX sheets (e.g. Butterfly Feint), are they also bare rubber without the cloth backing? It occurred to me that I have never bought an expensive OX sheet and don't know the answer to this. That sheet of Giant Dragon Cropcircles I bought some time back already had a gluesheet attached to the back, and this made thing SO MUCH SIMPLER. Cropcircles isn't an EXPENSIVE sheet, but it us more expensive than, say, 388D-1.

Most don't have the cloth backing, and I think it's because it does affect the performance. Yasaka Phantom 007 does have it, but none of the TSP Curl series have it.
