I received my sheet of Hellfire today.... At last...
I have only used it one hour....
But here is my first impression.

My sheet is a red 0x...
Quality is ok, not TSP or Armstrong though , a little heavy
compared to many other 0x sheets I have, but thats fine by me.

Very smooth surface and not very grippy just rubbing my fingers on it.
My blade is Donic Defplay
I startet chop-blocking close to the table against my sons heavy
brush loops with hes H3-Neo... We always plays with a ball with
a black ring around it, so we actually can see how much spin there is on the ball.
I was amazed how much backspin it could make right out on the package..
Mid-distance was ok and enough to keep me in the game, but this is not
a pure choppers choice of LP...

I didn't push-block or attack with Hellfire to-day
so I don't know how this works...

This rubbers reminds me of Dr. N Desperado, but slower and more reversal.

So, Pascal and Sebastian, thumbs up  so far....

Cheers
Geddk

Is this rubber mostly for a blocking close to the table game or might it work for a allround game with a littel of everything ?
The name really talks to my growing " dark side" heart
Nice to hear your thoughts - keep us posted :D

Yesterday I had the first Training with the Hellfire - to cut a long story short:
It's a great pimple!

The gym was very hot and the air really swealtry, thus the following videos must be watched carefully. My opponent has a german TTR of ~2100, playing Regionalliga and Oberliga.

Chop blocks:

Game 1 - introduction, not very safe

Game 2 - started to like the Hellfire, some nice rallies, won it with some luck

Game 3 - we have been really dull at this time, but some longer rallies

My sheet was very clean - no finger prints or hollowed pimples.

Could you perhaps take a picture of the hellfire with a ruler in the picture? Reading the characteristics and seeing pictures of haifu octopus I keep noticing how similar it is to hellfire. Even development time seems similar to hellfire.

Pictures of haifu octopus here http://www.eacheng.net/index.php?act=detail&ID=3692

Call me crazy but I may be on to something. Very crude example but I edited this on my phone. I took the haifu pic, then cropped out a similar amount of pips of the hellfire and composed the images together. I then changed the overlay method to darken so any difference between the images shows as red. Judge for yourselves...

Even if the dimension are very close to another long pimple, there are many other variable. I know Pascal and Sebastian did a lot of testing of different samples, so I'm sure their pimple is quite unique, even if the initial design was based on another LP.
I would think that most LPs designs would start with a design of another good LP, and then you play with the variable to come up with an optimised design.

Yes but there are quite a few similarities:

- playing characteristics descriptions are interchangeable
- poor quality control(mid in China on the haifu)
- visually similar if not the same
- first impressions about the haifu appeared about 2 years ago, with hellfire in development for 3 years after 1 year they could have a prototype

Let me state again this is not an attack on s&t just something I noticed. Even if the rubbers are the same it could just as well be that haifu copied the hellfire.

Did Pascal read all negative posts here about the poor quality control of the sheets..?

I would like to hear the owner response on this.

He made a post on the German forum they don't want to post in the hellfire threads too much. But I agree it would probably be better to respond to the quality issues. If they respond to it quickly and handle it well it will be great pr.

Dear guys and especially Elvis56,

some weeks ago we decided not to participate in the HELLFIRE-threads in different forums. Our main reason is that we do not want to influence somebody. The thread should be open for your test reports.
Maybe sometimes we will give some news.
This means not that we do not read here. No, we still keep reading in these threads and like to hear as much opinions as possible. These opinions help us to improve our work more and more. Thank you for your participation!!!

Working in the internet world myths or single posts run over very fast so that wrong opinions can rise up. Of course it is every time possible that there can be a problem with single rubbers but we do not know something about quality problems (-: Many rubbers have been shipped and we had only one customer who wanted to have a new rubber. Of course we will handle it without stress if a problem should come up (-:

Because many players like the rubber very much and it is a big success we are totally sold out with our first charge. In the second half of September the new rubbers will be finished. In the future we will have a better overview on our orders and we will be able to deliver without delays. Till this moment some shops have rubbers on stock so that it is possible to get the rubber.

To make a short story long^^ we offer this thread to your opinions and lay back here. Here it does not matter if something euphoric, positive, neutral, negative or even nonsense is written down. If there are some questions we are surely available via PM or email.

PS: We will still reply to ONE interview for every new product in the community. If we have answered this the community can go on and build their own opinion.

Best regards

Sebastian Sauer and Pascal Tröger
