In my opinion, the National Team edition plays clearly better. I've been using it for a week now and love it.

I got a total of 7 sheets of National Team Talon now and the good thing is that they are consistent which is unusual for chinese long pips. Also, the last shipment of regular Talon was consistent but unfortunately consistent in a way that the properties are consistently different from the way I like them to be.. National Team Talon consistently has LOW trajectory and great braking effect when blocking, and works great to accelerate the ball on pushes off underspin.. It's a little difficult to handle against no spin though.. On previous shipments of regular Talon, 2 - 4 sheets out of 20 would play similar to National Team Talon and 16 - 18 sheets would play different, with higher trajectory and less braking effect.. Since the introduction of National Team Talon, both rubbers now seem to be consistent..

WHICH National Team?? Know any Chinese National Team player using this?

Giant Dragon may be made in China, but you can't get it through the usual Chinese channels. Seems to be big in Thailand, though.

The only retailers that have it are in Thailand, Malaysia and Germany..

I wonder if it chops better than the normal talon. That was something I didn't like about normal talon...even compared to Dtecs...ox chopping was blah.

"National Team" does not mean it is used by Chinese (or any other nation's team members). My understanding that it is part marketing and part better Quality Control in terms of consistency. Pushblocker has 9 sheets and I have 3 that seem to have fewer variations. I have three additional sheets ordered and will note how they play when they come in.

That's what's so funny. The term "National Team" obviously originated with sheets specifically made for specific players on the Chinese National Team - most of these being DHS H3 these days - that somehow managed to make their way out into the general public. These sheets gained a great deal of mystique, selling for huge amounts of money and generating a huge amount of mythology along the way. They also spawned a lot of fakes and imitators - and imitators is what these "non-National Team 'National Team'" rubbers are - they're jumping on a perceived bandwagon. You see them all over the place - Globe 999 (this one actually has a claim to being "genuine", since there WERE Chinese National Team players using it at one time), Yinhe Sun and Moon, Haifu Whale and Shark.. Even 729-8..

So one can't help but wonder if maybe someone on the Thai National Team or the Uzbekistan National Team uses this...

File comment: The new "high tension" rubber formula

Yes, National DT version differs somewhat from the ordinar version. You can't see any difference unless you read the given annotation to the product, that the National version now employs new "high tension" rubber formula.
No other modifications to the product were made.
