| Post subject: | GIANT DRAGON GIANT LONG VS LONG SOFT AND MARTINSPIN |
Two curious queries that perhaps someone can help: (1) in comparing GD Giant Long versus Giant Long Soft both rubbers are identical, including with "Giant Long" at the bottom. How can you distinguish between the two? (2) my interest in this rubber was the higher grip for an attacking game and more variety in spin. Martinspin's spreadsheet on Pips-out Coverings has Giant Long at a extremely high 41 for grip while Giant Long Soft is merely 32. Are these figures based on some serious analysis or merely guesstimates? I note that Pushblocker--who certainly has tried every lp under the sun--thought there was no discernible difference in grip between them. |
