Does anyone know the reason why rubbers that were taken out of the LARC for whatever reason do not come down in price?

Sheets like TT master insider ,Xiying 979, Kokutaku tulpe 911 etc are still pricey for a non ITTF rubber.

Very few players being aware of the LARC. So is the most of shopkeepers on Taobao.
Feel free to ask dealer for a price discount.

there is a bottom line for prices based on material and production. Kokutaky 911 topsheet is $4.77 and $9.90 with sponge on eacheng. Hard to call that "pricey".

I can understand Sami's post.In Europe we get prices in € and the rubbers he mentioned should be under 5/6 € as they got out of the LARC.For instance, Kokutaku is over 10€ and so is Xiying .I can understand they are pricey .

I think most people would not even know that they've been removed from the LARC, and the sellers may not even know.
For the great majority of players, if the ITTF logo is on the rubber, they think it's approved. Rarely anyone checks the most recent LARC.

It's simple. It's what people are willing to pay for them. And the general table tennis playing public in China doesn't really care whether something is in the LARC or not. Given the prices are pretty low to begin with, there's not much point to lowering the price any further.

Feel free to ask retailer for a price discount. Chinese do like prolonged talks with a nice chap.
