I found the Joola Badman Reloaded and the Dr. N. Viper Soft to be the softest of the many I've tried, but be warned: while I generally preferred very soft pips for their greater dampening and capacity to generate funky effects with the OLD BALL, with the NEW BALL, which is heavier/more solid, I find that very soft pips can't control it as well as slightly firmer ones.

I think you can develop a feel with the soft pips just like the others.

True, but against faster loops it's much harder... the reversal is high, but the control is lower.

Dtecs and Viper are reasonably soft. Viper soft is softer still. I've heard Giant Dragon Snowflake is also very soft.

Yes, that's right re: the GD Snowflake. Forgot to mention that one. It's indeed very soft and a great long pips rubber in general in my view. But no idea how it would play with the new ball.

Dawei 388d-1 regular is softer than the quatro version, but not sure how it compares in softness to the above mentioned rubbers.

Dawei 388D and 388 D1 both very soft. D1 has textured tips while D has smooth tips. Play with D occasionally in OX. Never played D1.
Also GD SnowFlake has soft pips. Tried it in OX today (thanks Charmander Defender for the FREE sheet you posted me a while back ;) ). Great all-round long pips. Liked it straight away. I would certainly recommend it.

There was this bad batch of KTL stranger that was certainly softer than anything else. :P

I like my pips to be like an 80-year-old porn star, flaccid and long. Been playing with Viper for 2 years, and messing with Viper Soft for 6 months. Both are much softer than DTecs or P1-R. But the softest I've tried are Armstrong Twister. Soft and skinny.

Dawei 388 d-1 pro, very soft, slow, easy to play, good reversal, cheap.
