Doing a quick review of the newly released d.tecs with pre attached glue sheet (gs version).

The sheet is thick and somewhat heavy. Very easy to put on! No hassles or troubles, just peel and stick then cut to size.

Comes with the pre tensioned look and feel. Any of the purists out there who prefer no glue and only a thin layer of glue... they might find fault with it. For everyone else, the gs is both a time saver and a headache prevention!

AN EXPERT ADVICE.
Some glue sheets are known to add too much to the Thickness measures of the rubber sheet. Be aware of the maximum limit of 2 miliimeters for a single pimpled sheet..

According to Tibhar, this rubber is identical to the current Grass Dtecs, except for a very thin glue sheet to ensure it does not go beyond the 2mm limit.
I'll start using it, the normal OX version is always tricky and time-consuming to glue.

Yes, just relative to other glue sheets - joola, nittaku, butterfly

I put on a sheet of badman reloaded recently, which also has the pre attached glue sheet. That one to me felt more flexible and bendable. The .d.tecs has a heftier feel, but obviously nothing that noticeable as it is only a glue sheet.

I am definitely sure that the use of this foil changed the characteristics of the rubber fot to the worse. Feel that there is a slower ball stays on it longer. In general, in my opinion, Grass is better on other foil from other producers than Tibhar added in the GS version.

For example Pimplepark or Butterfly foil to rubbers. I prefer Pimplepark.

Fatal omission by the performer in the movie.
The black-bold letterings on the blade came out visible through the rubber sheet. It is a serious fault under the USATT rule 2.4.5.

I've now changed from the normal Dtecs OX to the Dtecs GS OX. I can't feel any difference.

But easier to adhere to the blade right?

I put a new sheet of the gs on last night, woo baby!! Goes on so smooth, so flawless... I wish I'd filmed it to post online. The people who love watching organizing videos or "oddly satisfying" things would appreciate the process

Is haggis going to be racing for the acid green d.tecs!?

really? you don't have a feeling that the fabric foil on grass is thicker and more hard than any other foil of other producer like for example pimple-ark or gewo?
For me personally there was a big difference. Especially on my blade. I play grass on my blade for 5 years, and when I put the new GS version on fabric foil I definitely feel the difference ;-)

Perhaps we play very different styles, or perhaps the blade makes a big difference. Also some people are more sensitive to the feel of the rubber than others... perhaps I'm lucky I can't feel the difference. :whew:
