It seems vertically aligned pips are bad for passive reversal.Vertically alligned pips are for an active game be it chopblocking or attacking with the pips .This rubber is suitable for an active game .

If I still played long pips I would find this very interesting. The amount of reversal that he seemed to get when chop blocking aggressively was pretty impressive. I bet that you could hit and even maybe loop with this rubber.
