I am trying to look for a thick based ox rubber for close to the table blocking.I believe thick balsa blades like Joola R1 perform much better with a thin sponge rather than in ox.However, I did find out that Spinlord Feuerstich- it has a thick base - performs pretty similarly.

I really don't like sponge under my LP.With 3 layers of glue plus the thick base of the Feuerstich I realised the blocking was much better than a thin based LP.

Just trying to find more rubbers .I think the Xiying was one of them but it is out of the LARC now.I know the thinner the base, the better for reversal but what I gain with the R1 outweighs the disadvantages of a thicker base.

I would appreciate any further information. Thanks. :)

Thanks for a great pointer. We'll check it for the maximum acceptable thikness of 2.00 millimeter.

Why? Having a thicker base-sheet provides zero evidence that the rubber is somehow illegal. This rubber has always had a thicker base-sheet, so I'm sure it would have been approved like this in the first place.

WE'RE MUCH LIKE TRAFFIC POLICE CREW, WE ALWAYS STAY VIGILANT TO SAVE PLAYER's LIFE.

We always looking to save our players from troubles, Many manufacturers will yield up original rubber standards with time. It is not unusual for OX rubber sheets to get thicker and thicker for a loss of consistency on the mould pattern. For example, some of TIBHAR Dtech OX was found to go over 2 mm thick for using old, distorted rubber moulds over 12 y.o.

Fiendly instructive warning to manufacturer used to be enough to set the deficient rubber geometry right. Unfortunately, some manufacturers still go on marketing overly thick rubber sheets with free hand, thus causing to our players many unwanted troubles, unwanted troubles difficult to dispell.

A lot of modern OX LP's have very thin semi-transparent base sheets. Possibly to maximise pimple length. Their flimsiness makes them a pain in the butt to glue. TSP have fairly substantial base sheets and high quality overall. Have you tried P3aR?

Maybe the Yasaka Phantoms too.
