Hi all

Coming from short and medium pips I enjoy some characteristics of long pips with sponge e.g. returning serve and attacking back spin but are happy to trade some reversal for better control and attacking possibilities.

Currently trying Nittaku super Do Knuckle on 0.6mm HRS sponge on an all+ balsa carbon blade BH which is more or less what I am looking for.

Any other suggestion would be welcome. I had a brief hit with Curl PH 1.0mm sponge that seems to meet the criteria and am considering standard Do Knuckle and maybe Spinlord Sternenfall on 1.00mm sponge or Spinlord Minotaur on 0.6mm HRS sponge. Another option could be KO with 0.6mm or 1.0mm sponge or the new KO extreme in 1.3mm as like Do Knuckle both have pips that are more like LP in length

If you are into attack, then, Spinlord Feuerstich. It comes only in ox, just adding sponge results in pips falling off very soon .

KO is definitely a medium pip, both in length and playing characteristics. If you want a long pip that plays more like a medium pip try Dr N Aggressor, it is available in ox and sponged varieties. Aggressor is definitely a long pip but plays like a medium pip due to the very thick pimple size. It has its own ooak thread viewtopic.php?t=30930

thanks Rob

I am probably going to try the new KO extreme in 1.3mm sponge and maybe also Schmerz in 0.5mm and Do Knuckle in 1.0mm
