Hello.
What is your opinion about new product from the Victas Curl P1V?

In our blog you can find video with comparison TSP Curl P-1R to Victas Curl P1V : https://www.czopiarze.pl/Porownanie-Curl-P-1R-Victas-P1V

If I understood the auto translation from japanese the video said there is not much difference in how it plays. The thickness and weight are similar too.

I just got two sheets of Curl P1V from tt-japan. Tried it out yesterday and comparing with my old p1-r there is more friction, but I think it's the same as with a new Curl P1-R. The logo part was redesigned which makes the index finger feeling different. Hoping that the PV1 last longer than P1-R in the finger area.

Wow thx! so in your opinion they are the same? I am not a specialist from curls so that is why I am asking about the difference users who's got a more experience about p-1r.

So far I think it feels similar to how I remember a new P1-R, but let's see when I get some more sessions with P1V. The problem is that I don't have a new P1-R to compare with. New is pretty different when it comes to friction (I prefer used).

I personally never play p-1r regular, only from time to time, but I heard from many users the versions from the last two years after couple of months was very frictionless. Can may may confirm that?

I have also ordered some sheets of Victas P1V from tt-japan, and they seem to play the same as TSP Curl P1r. I've only played long pips for a little over a year, so I can't comment on how they've played previous to that. But it seems like they start out grippy and it wears down fairly quickly. I wouldn't say they are anything close to frictionless though.

Yes, P1-r loses friction over time. But it's far from the banned frictionless pimples. I usually keep a sheet for about 6-8 months and feel quite a difference when replacing it with a new one.

Had another session with P1V yesterday and the pimples took off some skin on my index finger! That didn't happen with a new P1-R. Considering cutting off some of the pimples on the bottom now that rubs against the finger.

After a week of P1V I've started to think that a newer sheet and higher friction might be a good thing. Didn't have as much problem with slow spinny loops as I thought. Maybe my chopping technique improved. Higher friction makes it easier to block or counter with the pimples adding some nice variation.

So is this a proper replacement for Curl P1-R? Will that no longer be made?

Yes.. and correct.
Per Victas, the only thing that's different is the logo.

Yes and it's killing my finger ;( Didn't cut any pimples yet as I wasn't sure how much needs to be cut for it to help and if it will get me into trouble in the unlikely event of racket inspections at the upcoming National Veterans tournament. For now I'm just using tape to cover the wound while the skin grows back..

That would solve my question on which fingers to pinch the bat with :). Anyway skin has grown back hard now so I'm protected against the dangerous P1V.

I had a go with tsp curl p1r in .5mm , quite liked it. However, after a while, the rubber started bubbling up where I rest my finger. Furthermore, I've lost around 4 pips already. Pretty crap really for a pricey rubber. I emailed a supplier recently, who informed me that the new version from victas is exactly the same. Not surprising it's more expensive now as well. I'm not particularly interested based on the quality. I've a sheet of another tsp hardbat rubber, years old, it's still ok.
