I try a few search , just want something out of a package that’s legal for tournament play , that has the least amount of friction

I have a couple sheets of YinHe Neptune Pro from a friend. When you rub your finger on it it feel like frictionless, but when you rub a ball on it it has grip ! That’s out of a package!!!

Dear Haggis,
You repealed my posting of yesterday. Why?
Is a pricing information of the table tennis goods abusive on OOAK forum regulations ?
I do not think so.

Because your response was completely off topic! Responses should be relevant to the topic posted, and yours was not.. a few people complained and I agreed it was way off-topic and not helpful to the OP.

Pricing information of any kind is perfectly fine on OOAK forum, but only if it's on-topic. If you want to post other information, post in a new thread.

Time for my 68 comeback special, glad to see the forum is still up and running with several familiar people from years ago still posting!

But to get to the point, neptune is a very affordable/cheap(I got sheets for around $2.50 each in Thailand a few years ago) rubber but it's surprisingly good. One of the highest ranked pips players in the Netherlands has been getting great results with red neptune ox on backhand and outkill short pips on forehand on a firewall frame. The quality of the sheets(all ox)varies in thickness and the friction varies as well. And the older the rubber the better it gets as it loses friction.

My guess is the pro version are handpicked sheets from the regular production run with low friction. Another theory is that the sheets have been treated and are not an official Yinhe product at all.

Once I forgot a new and unpackaged long pimples rubber on my kitchen desk in the summer. When I returned home i realized that the sun was breeding the rubber for hours. Fortunately it didn't melt - I think because the rate of natural caoutchouc in this rubber was quite high. But I had the feeling that the rubber aged, became less elastic and slower. Additionally the friction of the pimples was reduces. For me and my way to play the rubber turned to rubbish. Others may have been happy with it.
It was a Giant Dragon - Dragon Talon OX black.
