I now agree that there is a touch more control with Green DTecS. Furthermore a coach at my club commented on the high level of spin reversal.

Why Manika Batra did not switched to the green-coloured pimples.

The usually played Red&Black combination is less conspicious as compared to the black and green. This is the reason that many of the conscious Twiddlers disapproved those flamboyant @DTeck pimples in green.
According to natural chromatic vision of humans the PINK and PURPLE colorations are those less eye-catching. This is a charity hint to all twidlers attending this place :)

Be happy.

Hi Guys
Played a full League season now; half with red pimples and half with green. 18 wins from 21 with red and 21 from 24 with green.
Most opponents felt there was more effect with green. That might be the switch to the Koji Matsushita Original blade.
Bearing in mind that I switched mid-season it worked out well and we won the Division by the skin of our teeth.

I agree with you Bulldog, initially I changed to green & had good results but because I wasn't used to it so I changed back to red. :^) But after training for a couple of weeks with the green I've now changed back to using it in competition with good results. |( I had to adapt to the slight difference & I'm very happy with the outcome.

The new blue one or the older model with the brown handle (not butterfly)?

I actually had the brown handle blade years ago when I played for a bit inbetween operations. With Dtecs OX too. Nice blade

The new blue one. Christmas present. Started using it straightaway.

I have to agree with an earlier comment that using anything other than black or red for a twiddler is just making it a whole lot easier for your opponent to know when you are hitting with the lp. I twiddle in almost every point, so it would seriously hurt my game.

Even if you don’t twiddle, the green or blue color might still serve as a reminder that it is a lp hit and the opponent will adjust in consequence.

Besides being fun, I don’t see any upside to using the colors for lp competitive play.

Like you "PushSmasher1" I twiddle all the time 8) & I had all those doubt's started using the green then went back to the red but I'm now back with the green as I've got more than one bat setup. The green rubber has a slightly different consistency with a slightly different effect. I'm using it again in competition & it works well

It’s incredible how often people forget if the pips are on the black or the red side, even though they were told or inspected the blade at the beginning.

Absolutely magnificently over rated pip.Expensive as hell and is not worth the hype. Not a bad pip but do not please mislead people into the crazy reversal and disruption. That happened with the banned old version .Period .Please ,do not make Tibhar richer than they should.

Anyway, this wonder fake story of the Grass will continue forever

It would be really interesting if after your next 10+ matches, you ask your opponents whether the pips being green made it easier for them to keep track of your twiddling, or no difference. I doubt it makes any difference to high level players, but I would think it could really help the guys I play against (USATT 1700-2200).

At the National Senior Games next month, my doubles partner will be playing with medium pips no sponge on his black side, with me playing anti on my red side. We both twiddle, so I hope in the middle of a point our opponents at times get confused who’s playing with what and we get the occasional loose ball. That’s the hope anyway… :D

I am sticking with Grass DTecS in green. Excellent control and in my opinion good reversal.
Each to his own. I have used these pips in Ox for many seasons and continue to enjoy a lot of success with them.
