Hi,

Annybody who tried this rubber? Looks promising.
I play with ABS 3 right now. Altough I'm very happy with it,
Attacking with it is difficult. I can do it better with long pimples.

Maybe this is a good hybrid solution? Good in blocking and sideswiping
and maybe easier to attack with?

Cheers
Peiter

I have just had a session with Reloaded OX on a Stratus Powerwood, I don't play LP much so I don't think my opinion may be that accurate, and I will certainly need more time with the rubber to formulate a stronger opinion, but my experience so far is that it is a relatively lower grip pimple that has a fairly straight trajectory which allows accurate placement. I felt like I couldn't make a whole lot of spin with it but strokes that had the appearance of generating spin gave a pretty "normal" trajectory that seemed to fool opponents. Pimples feel medium hard and are thin, flexible and sparse, and the rubber seems to give a pretty high level of spin passing, yet I felt as though the rubber did not offer much in the way of speed absorption or dampening. I felt like it was more difficult to hit with as much safety as you can using a grippier pimple or with a rubber like C8 or CK531A, but when my attacks did land they carried a sickening skidding effect characteristic of low grip long pips like DtecS. The rubber material reminded me a lot of a balloon, smell and texture in all. I think a dampening sponge would improve the passive blocking ability but it would also make the rubber slower and less dangerous in open play when you don't have much spin to work with and have to rely on speed and accuracy to pressure the opponent.

Hi Guys
I have ordered this rubber in blue to use on the backhand of a Matador Texa. I am hoping it will be fast enough for me to use it actively.

The rubber has arrived and the question now is which of my spare blades is suitable. Tibhar Stratus Power defence, Dr N Matador Texa or TSP Balsa 5.5?

I have put it on the Texa. Rome wasn’t built in a day. I had a pretty laid back practice session with two of my team mates this afternoon.
I am not going to comment until I play with it against players who do not know my game as well as those two.

Did you have a chance to practice with it more? What are your impressions and conclusions?

Hi Matt
I tried again and did no better. Just put a sheet of Diabolic Special on the Texa.

Thanks Bulldog, though I was hoping for some more detail as I was thinking about testing it. ;)
