Service / Service return:
Insensitive to incoming rotation
Serving yourself is easy, I had a sort of undercut sidespin serve, it cause direct mistakes from my opponents a few times, ball sinks rapidly.
Interesting to test some services.

Blocking / Chop block:
Passive blocking can be done with a good feeling, good control. Little reversal, side spin or dead ball.
Chopblocking can be done very low with a little bit of adjustment. Backspin is great, ball stays low / very low / can be slow if you have the right point.

Chopping:
Long distance chopping is good, backspin high and can be low over the net.
It takes some training to keep the bat in the correct angle because each long pip angle is different for chopping.
The control is very good in this aspect.

Attacking / Hit:
Very easy to attack backspin, it graps the ball beautiful, ball dives and sinks quickly.
Hitting is very good, those can be direct points for you.
Even counterattacking is possible with this long pip, I was very suprised to have a full package in the offensif way, but it takes some time to master these. Yet again the balls can be deadly for your opponent.

Deception:
More than average deception in general for this long pips. 8)
Found the deception pretty good.
Maybe less deception than Dorneglanz, Hellfire and D Tecs: I’m not sure, it is a close one.
More deception than Curl P1, P2 and other less deceptive long pips.
More deceptive than the Punch rubber. I found the ‘Punch’ rubber a sort of medium pip in a long pips structure.

In general:
I was very suprised about this new long pip.
I found the most things that I wanted in a long pip:
Insensitive the incoming spin
Chopblocking low and good backspin
Chopping low and good backspin
Very good control in general and still deceptive + very versatile.
And of course good offensive options and deceptive enough in different
ways the make my opponent a difficult time.
Defenitely interesting to give this a try.
The Desperado Reloaded is very high quality. :punch:

Thx Dr Neubauer for this new long pip.

Great review thanks

DR has I believe HZ pips compared to vertical on Punch

Do you find it better for absorbing the speed of opponents hard shots when blocking than say Punch ?

For my taste Desperado Reloaded is better for that.
The pips are a little bit longer too, so that makes sense i guess.

I yesterday have use Desperado Reloaded ox green in a Neubauer Bulldozer blade and I feel it too fast and very difficult to control. If the technique is not completely correct, the balls go high. Next monday I will use it with Matador Texa Carbon.

I think it should come with a warning. The skill levels needed for DR are significant - way more than I possess. I tried it on an allround blade in OX and it was totally unplayable for me, not helped because I’m now so used to the super slow anti I use, but it took about 10 minutes knocking to know this is nowhere near what I should be using if I truly want to transition back to LP.

Then,is there anything faster than D.tchs?

Been wondering if this Reloaded version is faster than D.tchs,Piranha or Talon., which I doubt.

I have already tested the Neubauer Desperado Reloaded OX green with the Neubauer Matador Texa Carbon blade and they perform much better than on the Bulldozer blade. Even faster than Dornenglanz, they are controllable and very damaging. I would say that Dornenglanz is better in passive play and Desperado Reloaded in active play. the attacks are deeper and more devastating, but in the passive game has more long balls than Dornenglanz. I have been very satisfied with the set and I am going to use it in the next Veterans (40 to 80) Championship of all categories (including professionals) at a national level throughout Spain, which will be held on May 4, 5, 6 and 7 in my city, Fuengirola.

Match with Matador Texa Carbon and Desperado Reloaded OX (green) (FH Gewo Proton Neo 450)

I'm very happy. Some pop up blocking hard spinny loops, but I think that's my lack of technique.

One more. In this one I loose

1. That is horrible. I have never seen anyone lose that many pips in one week!

2. On the good side it looks like you this the ball at the same place on the paddle.

 Mr. Konrad Neubauer&Sonny are the greatest tale mongers, indeed. All pimps branded by Neubauer name are essentially the same, that's being in good obedience to the surface traction limits of 0.5.
Moreover, all the pimps proved overly gripping, with kynetic traction 0.65 or so.
Frictionless pimps gone once and for all. Anti-slick survived very well, so far.

Mine have been playing 4 days a week between 2 and 4 hours each day for more than a month... and they are like new.

Hello everyone,

Although I've been lurking in the shadows for a long time, this is my first post on the forum.

I see that they have released a new version of Desperado Reloaded (Perhaps it's not so new, and I just discovered it now). It's a slow version with a blue absorption sponge. I assume it's the same one that Dr. Neubauer uses for ABS 3 anti rubbers.

Does anyone have any references about this or about the behavior of long pips with this type of sponge? In the upcoming weeks, I will test Spectre with the black sponge from Der materialspezialist in 0.6mm to see how it performs. If it works well, we will also try the new Desperado Reloaded slow version.
