Going to try tonight or sometime this week on a Butterfly Schlager carbon blade with a 2 mm Xion Tau 11 red on my backhand and the Leopard SP on my forehand.

Just glued both rubbers on and the short pips feels fast.

It seems a little more unorthodox than my very grippy Butterfly XS but still feels like it will be quite easy to use.

Also never tried the Schlager carbon and is a changeup for my Stiga 290 blade.

Will keep you posted.

To the person who asked about the Xiom Tau 11 - it is a hybrid rubber so sticky topsheet and tensor sponge.

Out the packet it is extremely sticky and slow.

Once it is worn in after a few hours it is quite fast, many levels above Hurricane.

It is extremely spinney rubber maybe the spiniest rubber I've ever used.

On a all round or slower blade the throw is high to very high which i dislike.

Works best with off plus blades which have low throws.

Not cheap but the best backhand rubber I've ever used by some margin.

I prefer it in 2mm over 2.15mm as the thinner sponge lowers the throw and reduces its considerably weight.

I cut mine 9mm above the handle of the blade to reduce its weight.

Had a good win with this rubber in a practice match but have disregarded it as it is a bit slow.

Currently liking Victas S1 short pips - plays identical to Butterfly XS but with i think a flatter trajectory on drives.

Use my Stiga 290 blade with this setup and Xiom Tau 11 on the backhand in 2.0mm

It was formerly Spectol from TSP i think.

Really liking my Butterfly Schlager carbon blade which i use with my smooth rubber setup.

Great feel and power.

I use with this set with up a red Xiom Tau 11 on the forehand and it spins the ball great.

On the backhand i use Andro SFX which is a light rubber to reduce the weight which is 185g. I always place the rubbers around 9mm higher on the blade to reduce weight.

When i play against pips players going to use my pips bat but standard inverted players going to use my smooth rubber combo.
