I have not played with it, but I have played against it. The ball returned has a much lower angle than 802.

Yes, I quite like it. Very good sink effect. Great for blocking. Excellent quality like all Dr. N. short pips.

Thanks for the information. So, I will try DR N's TU instead of 802 and Leopard.

As ilikepie said I have tested all Dr N Short pips.If you want offensive rubber test Tornado Ultra. It is fast and good rubber for flat hitting.Even good for topspin as a short pip.Other Dr N short pip Pistol is also good for flat hitting and also blocking. For me Pistol has more control ,especially for blocking. Now I have been playing with Leopard.Especially 1.5 mm Lepoard has sink effect to the ball and also very good for flat hitting with its magnificient control. As far as I have understood you have been using leopard now.May I kindly ask you why you want to change it?

I have tried the following short pips:
802
802-1
802-40
Joola Tango Ultra

I think 802 is a rubber for chops, topspin and flat hit.

Didn't realise you dabbled in SP as well GR. Which is your preferred pip, Short or Long? I guess Pogo has some similar characteristics to SP. I haven't tried many SP's, I sometimes wonder if I should.

I think 802 is a rubber for chops, topspin and flat hit.

Gotta disagree on top spin, for me, Stiga Radical is almost inverted. Now that comes with some warts as well as it is very reactive to spinney serves and loops-not as bad as inverted but enough that you have to be aware of what stroke is coming at you.

If it is good for top spin it should be good for chop right? Well...for me its too fast, too springy to chop with consistently especially in 2mm. I also like 802 as a rubber that can do almost everything...now if Zeropong will just ship mine!!!

RTTE, I always use long pips for the back hand side. I try to experiment with different short pips on the forehand side just for the sake of fun. I found that it is easier to beat some players with short pips than inverted rubber. I think it is the speed generated by short pips that gives trouble to some players. May be that is why it is hard to play with long pips against short pips players.

It is easier to play with POGO than short pips on the BHS as different angles are required for different rubbers. Short pips seem to suit better to an attacking player on the backhand side.

Except both Ding Song and Hou Yingchao use(d) short pips on their backhands.

I tried this today in red on my f/h.I could keep a lot of balls on the table and play aggressive.I tend to overhit on the f/h but i kept a lot on with this rubber.Seems good at blocking aswell.
