Hi guys,
Just like in the topic which pips can you advise me for defence game, mainly chooping but also counter attacks and smashing. Of course short pips will be my backhand. For this kind of game better will be 1,5 or 1,8 sponge thickness ?

TSP Spectol in 1.5mm is probably the most obvious choice.

There are a couple SPs that fit a defensive game:

Friendship 802
TSP Spectol
TSP Super Spinpips Chop
TSP SUper Spinpips Chop 2
BTY Challenger Attack

Thickness depends on your background. If you're coming from inverted, 1,5 to 1,8. If you're coming from LPs, 1,0 to 1,5.

At the beginning i want buy a cheap short pips and if i liked maybe then some more expensive. Friendship 802 is better option than 802-40 or degu ? and if, why ?

P. S. I'm coming from inverted.

Degu is a very soft, spinny SP, with plenty of feeling and control. It represents the class of "modern" SP. 802 is close to the polar opposite. With the standard orange sponge it's fairly hard, and represents a "traditional" SP. 802-40 is somewhere in between. More spin than the 802, and, many would say, the easiest if you're coming from inverted.

For SP chopping you want the spinniest pimples you can find. Super SpinPips Chop Sponge 2 for example are incredible.

However, the more spinny the pimple, the more reactive they are to spin too which inevitably makes service receive more difficult.

Spectol is a great all-rounder for SP chopping. It's quite spinny but not overly reactive to spin. My suggestion would be that you try that first, around ~1.7mm sponge.

I agree with Dunc. I went from years of LP chopping and tried several SPs. Fist Degu II 1.0 mm (ok, difficult to make spin on chops). Then 802 1.0 mm (great chops when you placed them on the table but most went long and not eady to return serves with). I also tried 799, 889-2 and TSP spinpips chop 2. All ok, the sponge of TSP gives great control. But it wasn't til I tried Spectol 1.5 mm I started to feel comfy with chopping and short game and blocking and some attacking. Also it has some sink effect. But I missed the LP effect and the soft feeling of LP so I tried several MPs. The obe that worked best for chopping was TSP Millitall which was the perfect combination of LP and SP. Very good control and ok to block and attack with. But no spin reversal due to soft grippy but thin pips.

Go with Spectol 1.5 mm! If you want cheaper that is similar try 799.

I would suggest: TSP Spectol
802-40
A tensor SP like Andro Blowfish(+) with 1.5 to 1.8 sponge.
