Then maybe the new sponge might work for you.

Can you post a picture? I'm a bit colorblind...

Got mine a little more than a month ago. Mostly yellow, with an orange tinge...very soft, and a bit slow.

Yes, I'd like to try it out.
Where did you get the new sponge from?

Customtabletennis.co.uk.

Any dealer receiving stock in the last few weeks should have the new sponge

On the German forum noppen-test.de the manufactor of Waran says, only the colour from Waran sponge has changed, nothing else.

Greetings Claus

Never thought that pips-out could be the solution for a weak wing.
But Waran 1.8 (yellow sponge) have cured my weak inverted FH like antidote.

Earlier I tried 802-40 1.8 Supersoft a couple of times, but I never trusted it and its dull plastic feel makes me want to remove it from the blade. Contrary Waran becomes consistent weapon for my attacks just after an hour of practice (rated tournament games). I am still not good at counterdrive warmup, but my loops are consistent and with nice arc yet. I even does not know how Waran blocks because its counterhits are safe and precise enough.

Was it a new sheet as it can lose speed after a few months.

You will enjoy blocking with Waran as it is quite disruptive and you can add side spin and it also chops well especially on Def blades.

I played 2 long sessions with Waran on FH and still did not have opportunities to test how Waran blocks. Counter-hitting and even just smash are so controllable and effective.

What I like that Waran has the same optimal distance as my BH KO Pro. Waran is effective to hit from the bounce, but it is spiny enough to attack a bit later.
I regret that tried many years trying to balance inverted FH with pips-out BH.

Neubauer Killer is very disruptive, but it should be played right from the bounce. Even hit with it on the peak seems to be too late.

Reglued the same sheet several times. The sponge is still nice, the rubber is flat like it was in mint condition.
No effect on speed glue. I doubt that sponge is factory tuned.
