My sheet of Firestorm is max sponge, black top sheet. The pips are wide, close-spaced, and smooth-tipped.. unusual these days as most SPs I see have hashed tips. The sponge seems firm and the top sheet is medium soft. Speed is quite fast; blocking is effortless, easy to keep loops down. Makes a kind of slap sound when flat hitting. It can generate spin but not nearly as much as other SPs in this group like the TSP, Victas, JOOLA, and even the HP+. For throw angle, this one might be similar to Beautry though I haven't had my Beautry out in a while.. more testing needed. As a pure offensive blocking SP, this one has promise.
