In my quest to exploit short pips to the fullest, I have been practicing serving every day. For those of you with significant short pips experience, what serves with short pips do you find especially effective? Do yo have any general tips for me regarding serving with short pips? I am a two-winged close-to-the-table attacker. |

Hi Steve, I don't think serving is in essence any different from inverted. What I like is to get the game opened up as quickly as possible. Usually start with sidespin-backspin or side-top variations (usually deep or wide) and avoid pushed returns as short pip loops are not as effective as inverted. Driving/smashing against topspin is a lot easier than backspin, if it means letting them loop first, then so be it. Try to practice consistency in the serve motion but vary the contact for side-top/back. I find pendulum and backhand serves easier for variation than reverse pendulum. |

Hi Steve, yes. Most of the time the opponent would try to loop. If you serve well fast, might even get a weak bounce back. In any case, you wouldn't get any short pushes to deal with. |

Pros who use sp on FH mostly.doing.high toast on their.serve.to get more spin on their serves, try to watch he zhiwen or shan xiaona serves both using sp Sent from my Redmi 6A using Tapatalk |
