You won't like that either!

The ph does not grant much spin reversal at all, and in 1.5 will play like short pips in many ways. Very slow and toothless blocks! You must hit most balls, otherwise they will be weak floaters.

Hearing of your situation, I would use an ox lp and just learn to push/bump against dead balls and chops/pushes. It can be difficult and is at the start, but what you need to do is simply focus on keeping the ball low and place it well. Skip the spin element for now, as that does not matter a ton. You can also twiddle once in a while to add back spin etc. From your backhand side.

With 6-8 feet of room, the low grip ox LPS are your best option as you can chop a ball at any height.

I agree. You can chop sparingly but using SPs as the main strategy for chopping is so wrong.I did play with Sps on the FH with great success for hitting .If you are a true hitter, Sps for sure.If you are a chopper LP with sponge.
