I'm trying out some new BH rubbers for next season. I'm currently playing ABS 3, but struggling to mount offensive strokes with it. Very good for control an revearsal, but difficult to play offense.

I've fooled around with grass ox. And that's ok but also wih my dads old killer pro evo 1.8. it's very fast but I really like the offensive options.

Is there anybody who knows what version of killer has the most disruption? And can still be used for a controlling yet offensive game. Really attacking serves, backspin and even agrresive blocking. There are so many versions I kinda loose track :)

The most deceptive from all the Killer series is the first Killer rubber:
The normal Killer, definitely the most disruptive of all the Killer series. Not so easy to play with, not easy to play against.

A very good compromise is the Killer Pro, less disruptive than normal Killer but a little bit
easier to play with, yet still good disruptive effect for a SP/MP. Very good attacking options 8)
Found the Killer Pro easier to use than Normal Killer but still good disruption.
I tested them in 1.5 black.

Personally I found the Killer Pro Evo and Killer Soft in general less disruptive and easier to play with.
Killer Extreme is somewhere in between the Killer series.

The Killer rubbers in general are one of a kind. Very good rubbers if you know how to handle them ;)
Good luck

Thanks for the reply. I'm basicly looking for a disruption rubber that is not too fast and gives me chances to attack. I now play ABS 3. It's very good and disruptive. But difficult to attack with for me.

I've done some practice on a killer pro 1.3
It's a very intuitive rubber for me.
I cant almost play regular BH. Blocks need soft hands. but serve reception can be very very agressive. It's just enough deception to be annoying for the opponents and looks normal enough for them to make mistakes.

Really really like it.
Too bad it is on my dad's blade

Cheers
Pieter

Carels, Blocking characteristic will probably vary quite a bit with speed and hardness of the blade especially with such thin sponge. What blade did you try it on?

Did you get a good feel for the ball? I tried Explosion in 1.5mm and found it had a very little feel for the ball contact

Hi I played on a gergely tamca 5000. It's my dads blade. Bit to fast for me. I normally play on a SDC combination blade. FH innerforce hinoki, BH outerforce koto.

I had good feel for the ball. It was just very different compared to the ABS 3 I play now. But I'm certainly gonna try the killer on my own blade

I'm trying out the killer pro 1.3 on my own blade this night. I'm really exited about it.

Reviving the tread because we're a few people teying out killer at the same time.

We can move conversation here

Training was great. Killer pro is more difficult then killer soft. But so much fun.
I can play much more active then playing with the abs 3. I can attack almost every serve with it.

Need some practice blocking tough

What blade you guys would think are best for the killer series?

I started out by playing on my dads old Butterfly Gergely. It was great and easy to play.

I reglued to my own blade I use for ABS 3. But it's more difficult now and less disruptive.

I have a few options:

DHS 301
Tibhar Force Pro Blue
Viscaria
Matador Texa Carbon

Thoughts?

Ps: my dads blade is not an option :)

Went for SDC DHS 301 clone I had. A bit slower then my regular blade and bit more flex. It's koto outside so hard enough.

It seems to be a very good fit with the killer pro.
I have more control and blocks are easier.

Going forward with this combination

Hello , I had most of Killer versions in hand.
Today I play with Extreme 2,0mm on Expert II CRWi blade.
Killer Soft - very soft 37°, not so high disruption
Killer - relatively soft, good disruption (43°)
Killer Pro - IMHO most disrupzive version (harder sponge 45°)
Killer Pro Evo only shortly testing - quicker version of Pro , little bit less disruptive as Pro, hardnes - i don´t know exactly
Killer Extreme - most catapulty sponge (44°), disruption inbetween Pro und classic , more as EVO

I had 1,3mm sponge, 1,5mm sponge, 1,8 sponge, 2,0 sponge and max sponge - but by different versions.
1,3-1,5mm - most disruptive
1,8 - midle disruptive
2,0-max - playing more as short pips , less disruption but more universality
