There are lots of short pips that should work for you. If you have not tried it yet, I would suggest Friendship 802 with 1.5mm sponge. It has been a standard for many years.

I’ve used Tango Ultra for years now and every time I try something else, I always quickly come back. Its fast, flat hits well, blocks loops easily and also importantly can generate some heavy spin on serves.
