Hi All,
can everyone guide how to return side spin serve [short pendulum and short reverse pendulum both].
[considering me and my opponent both are right handed]:
I am not good at flicking technique.

-if the serve is short pendulum serve and place at my far left corner.
-if the serve is rev-pendulum and place at my far left and far right corner.

for other variation of side spin serves these is how i return it successfully.
-if the serve is long then i return it with BH or FH topspin,
-if the serve is short pendulum and place at the my right hand side then i return it with FH angular racke, angle opening towards right side of the opponent.

if possible any good video will be of much help!

thanks.

Touch the same place on the ball to receive as your opponent touched to make the serve.

And do it very, very gently.

Exactly. Around here we refer to it as “go against the spin”. A very safe option. Once your skills and touch improves you can “go with the spin”.

Here's a video explaining & demonstrating how to return a serve by going against the spin. Applies to backspin, topspin, sidespin, corkspin and anything in between. Return of service starts around ~4:21. He starts talking about sidespin around ~7:25, and a demonstration occurs around ~8:19

Hope this helps!
