I am a defender, and I have big troubles with returning fast long serve to the wide forehand and elbow, if I try to attack I usually miss the ball or my topspin is not as good as need to be, is it better to just chop this kind of balls, or I really need to improve attack vs this serves.

Would you say that you have troubles with your swing/technique? Or your footwork?

Also, maybe you are leaning too much on your heels or stand too upright. I had a similar issue in the past.
