Great idea speedplay! We can just keep adding these.Perhaps we should mark the thread with something like [Basic Strategies] to make them easier to find. The index above is already a good idea as well... |

I'd like to hear how people play two styles which local club players will be familiar with: 1. Players who stand up to the table and who push the ball back with variations in the amount of backspin they put on the ball waiting for you to try to start a top spin rally, or for you to roll the return and then they hit passed you using your spin or pace against you. Playing up to the table I can get drawn in to pushing games, not fun - I don't have the game or backhand rubber to really start to drop back and loop - especially backhand where I use short pips. 2. People who give you none or little pace or spin to work with but place the ball well. |
