Good to watch! And so much more informative because of you adding what kind of anti they use! Great stuff, MNNB!

Whoa
Attacking with anti like that is hardly done with many long pips now.

Would it be an idea to attach numbers to the videos, so we can refer to them more easily when discussing them? There certainly is a lot to say about a lot of them, after watching them and thinking it over...
Eventually, perhaps they should be organized in groups, too; double anti, backhand anti, forehand anti, close to table, mid-distance defence... I am not sure how to categorize exactly yet, but it would make sense to do so, I think. For one thing it would be easier to compare different players using a similar style. For another it would be easier to recognize the essential features of different styles.

Perhaps it would make sense to establish an "Anti Tactics Study" subforum with a separate thread for each category?

Right. How do you want it to be categorized? I'd think: categorize by styles: 1. close to the table blocking &pushing (emphasis on anti alone), 2. close to the table blocking & attacking (anti combined with other rubber), 3. mid-distance defense and counter, 4. long-distance defense and retrieve 5. long distance defense and attack. But you'd always get hard to categorize cases...

Me? No. But you, yes, and MNNB too! There are already quite a few here, and some others in the video-section... I think it should work out well...

We could do it like that, or maybe...
1. Frictionless Anti Play
2. Anti Blocking
3. Anti Attacker
4. Anti Chopping
5. Forehand Anti
6. Double Anti

I had already posted this Eric Boggan match in my blog, but it is also very appropriate in this anti tactics study thread as well. He apparently uses a custom version of BFY Super Anti.

Speaking of anti...Is that Ricky Seemiller playing on table 22?

We have the new subsection set up, so now we can migrate the information here into the various appropriate threads.

Kees, I thought you used a lot of tactics. And now you're starting a protest thread: "Anti Tactics"? ....

Anyway, I've been thinking about anti a bit, so I will keep my eye on this thread....
