Has anyone ever had of players using anti on both sides of their paddle?
Why is anti so hard to play with? It seems like I have to swing for the fences to get the ball over.

No, but I've met one person who played with long pips on both sides. He was rated about 1900, and had mobility problems because he'd been in a car accident. He'd just stand back about four feet from the table and get everything back.

I don't think anti is that hard to play with at all, but it is hard to win with at the higher levels. The reason is that you can't impart much spin, which puts limitation on both defensive and offensive play. Some skilled players might be able to compensate for this, by mixing up the pace and good placement instead, but it's tough.

By using the anti just on one side, and a spinny & fast rubber on the other, you have a lot more options.

I have a herniated disc, and it worries me. If it ruptures, bad news. Maybe I should consider something like this. Also have a bulging disc.
