Hi all! Last week i had the chance to test new Matador Hybrid Carbon from Dr. Neubauer with ABS 2 Pro. The feeling was great and i think i will use this blade next season. Hope you will enjoy the review :)

Nice review! So it is not so different from the Matador Texa Carbon, only a little bit more control and now tightly dedicated to Luka's style of play.

You could be using his perfectly matching setup, with these rubber but with a BlueStar A1 on the forehand instead of the BlueFire M2. Are you giving up on the Cybershape? :|

The feeling was extremely good. I would say forehand is similar to Texa Carbon but backhand is much slower. When i tested abs 2 pro years ago it was pretty uncontrollable (on Texa Carbon). With this new blade was all very easy, and also on the attacking side i noticed more spin than Cybershape. I will give it a chance for sure and then we will see :)

Nice to hear! Good luck with your experiment!

It is actually funny how two videos about reviewing this blade have already been uploaded to Youtube, but the blade is nowhere to be seen on the Dr. Neubauer's official website.

Really good review. I was impressed with how it seemed to "tame" the ABS 2 Pro a bit. Your forehand looked great. I'm going to stick with the Cybershape but I'm definitely going to be following your progress with this.

I believe this blade is specially made for the pro sponge. I tried the blade wirh Sabotage all/off 1.5 mm, and it felt faster than my regular Texa and with a slightly higher arc. Then I tried it with the ABS pro-sponge with a Super Glanti top sheet. The blocks were supershort :o and lots of spin and also low. The blade is very stiff but still a nice feeling for looping.

I am actually thinking about switching back to anti and waiting for the new ABS3 Pro.

Hahaha Matt, I'm trying to be less of an EJ. I've barely played for the last few months...had a bad back/hip injury in March right before a tournament, then it became golf season and that's my top priority. Will be getting back into the game soon...and I'm going to attempt to resist the temptation. :D

Yes, antispin players are not socially welcomed. Something like an odd person who is told to be a fancy crow with white feather.

I usually don't comment on stuff like this, but this is the dumbest and most racist comment I ever read in this forum. Everybody is welcome: anti players, double-winged inverted loopers, short pips blockers or long pips choppers. All are ITTF legal!

As far as my experience goes, this forum welcomes everyone without acknowledging what they are playing with. The forum of TableTennisDaily is rather neutral of antiiers, while OOAK likes and help them, kind of.

On the other hand, this "antiiers are not (socially) welcome" could be a true phenomenon somewhere in the real life. For example, the place I am playing at they are rather neutra about it, so for long pimples, because they usually defeat the players with these rubber easier. The only time when they complain about it is when they lose against such players.

I have not yet experienced a resistance in the sense they would not want to play against me or anyone just because of having anti on my racket. Nor any kind of insults. They just do not care or pay attention. Most of them think you have to return the ball either way.

Igor is a known anti/pips troll, I’m personally surprised he’s been tolerated this long by Haggisv and the moderators. There’s been talk of kicking him out of tabletennisdaily for similar trolling behaviour.

Exactly! And that was the point I was trying to make above because I'm fed up with that crap. You don't like pips or anti...fair enough. But it's still ITTF legal and it certainly doesn't make you "not socially welcomed", whatever the hell that is.
