Hi! I am basing my game on Riccardo Walther now and he demonstrates such a wide range of shots, varied pace- he really has it all and beat Timo earlier this year. My question is his block, chop block, or whatever he does at the 3:00 minute mark in the video below. What is it that he is doing? Ive seen him use this in other matches as well, and I think Mima Ito does something similar.

If its a chop block, then its not the diagonal, downward one that Koki Niwa uses. It seems to be very effective and he stays at the table while doing it. Id love to bring that shot into my game. Any ideas on what it is and how to do it would be appreciated! Thanks!

Search for something like: Backhand sidespin chop-block from the forehand side, or backhand chop-block from the forehand side.
