Yes, he uses P4 with the maximum sponge. In this video he uses a different blade (see my comment above) in which P1V is better as the blade is slower. Anyway.... many player use different setups for various reasons. For me the name Joo SaeHyuk goes together with the same-name blade and CurlP4 ;) .

Sorry, did he call you and tell you? What's your source?

If we’re only considering what’s been “documented” — i.e., photos, interviews, etc. — recently he was using the Curl P3a, during his Nexy blade testing. By the way, his student Kang Dongsoo was also seen using the same P3a. In the most recent video with Adam, he is clearly seen using the P1V.

During his prime days his go to rubber was P1 not P4.

The only other person I can think of who was using the P4 was Ma Te.

All this is quite confusing for me, who isn't familiar with the Victas (used to be TSP) Curl line, so I went and looked it up in the LARC. Under Victas and "long pips" there are only five rubbers listed. P1V, P3V, P3 Alpha V, P4V and P5V. On Victas's web site, there are six listed. P1V, P2V, P3V, P3aV (I assume this is the same as P3 Alpha V), P4V and P5V. Not sure why P2V doesn't appear in the LARC. There's no "P4" - I assume they added "V" to all the names when they moved the rubbers from TSP to Victas.

Ah... P2V is just listed under "pips out" in the LARC. On the Victas site it says it's got large pips, so perhaps they don't have the necessary aspect ratio to be considered "long".
