Welcome to the forum Bruce!

I've played in Taiwan a few times at the local clubs. Although I really enjoyed it, I could not handle the heat well, so I didn't last long!

Hi Dart knight,
It’s quite heat and humidity weather in Taiwan.
But there are lots of delicious Taiwanese foods.
You should try them!   8)

My name is Zion and I'm soon 46 years old soon.
I'm Finnish but live in Sweden.
Always played penholder style all these years but now switching to shakehand.
Been playing for on and off for soon 30 years and so
My level today is above average [FACE WITH TEARS OF JOY] just playing for fun
My style is a mix of control and offensive. Want to play away from the table a little bit like kreanga did and don't like the shirt game at all.
So more towards the offensive game is my style.

Found this forum when browsing online looking for a new setup.

Hello guys
My name is Tony and I have been playing table tennis since I was 11 (but considering my actually age right now, I haven't got no where as much experience as those other people here who continued to play table tennis till 40 and are still playing.) I live in Auckland and developed a very bad playing style of only using my inverted rubber on the forehand to serve and I would use my backhand with long pips the entire match. (But that style also allowed me to reach an intermediate level so yeah) Outside of table tennis, I am actually a student right now and is considered as one of the smartest kids in the year level. Outside of table tennis I kind of just study, eat, and play video games. :P

I stumbled upon this forum around a few month ago when I was doing research on how to modify rubbers. (let's just say I am a very curious table tennis player who once tried to rip a top sheet of rubber off a racket to see if I will get ox SP).

Also I think I'm pretty sure one user here called Rodderz opens a table tennis store in our region...

Hi everyone , I started TT when I was 8 yrs old playing with my father then doing couple lessons in elementary school and then being a part of an inexperienced high school tabletennis team. However TT took a backseat when I got neck injuries and stopped playing for 16 years and after my surgery restarted to play . I always played inverted till 1.5 years ago then I switched to long pips and about 7 months ago to frictionless inverted. I am from NJ and play in major tournaments from time to time. I am here to learn more about equipment or being up to date with what’s available now and could be available in the future. I do have a small YouTube channel . Channel name is Tabletennis_NJ . Feel free to check out some of my videos

I am ijanz from Malaysia. 41 years old.
Have been play with medium pip on fh and bk most 4-6 years.
Maybe weird for some person with my setup but actually sometime give advantage during tournament.
Recently use Der Materialized Hellcat on FH 1.5mm and BH used Dr Nue Killer extreme 1.5mm too.
Both rubber give disruptive if play passive and active.
Actually quite hard to train because almost play dont like to stroke with MP because ball may sink once bounce to their table.
However, still get a friend would like to take a challenge on this.

Nice to meet u all now and hope we can discuss more detail in MP later.

Setup: FH Der Materilized Hellcat 1.5mm
BH Dr Nue Killer Extereme 1.5mm
Blade: Butterfly Sardius (use more than 15 years)

ijanz,

There is a local player here with Med Pips and C-Pen who is rated a level or two below our average top players. The first two times I play vs him, I was rated near him or a level above... he could control the point and I could not read his impact, so he won pretty soundly vs me twice.

MP can be a weapon if handled well, so handle your business like a warrior. It isn't weird.

Hello everyone! :Chop:

My name is Marcos and I greet you from Uruguay (in case you don't know, country of soccer, tango, yerba mate and dulce de leche).
I played table tennis from a very young age but only when I was 18 did I start training in a club. I trained for about a year or two and then I had to leave for work/study reasons.

Now at 33 years old I am training again and I realized how much I missed this sport!

I'm going to need a little help putting together a racket again :) where can I create a post for that?
