hello all,

I have been reading all over the sites I have been recommended to visit.

I am not sure exactly what is good for me.

I know for a fact that defending/chopping/pushing are the strokes I am most confortable with. (back hand back spin a la Joo se Huyk)

However I also have been recommended to add a rubber for forehand loop for the side of the racket.

I read on some thread the following set up is good for me.

LKT Instinct: http://oneofakindtrading.com.au/Shop/pr ... cts_id=154
729 Lightning (Smooth Inverted Rubber): http://oneofakindtrading.com.au/Shop/pr ... cts_id=438
Galaxy Neptune (Long Pips): http://oneofakindtrading.com.au/Shop/pr ... cts_id=264

I need help and I am quite lost. :(

Have you already decided you'd like to try playing with long pimples?

If so, that would be a good combination to learn and develop with.

If not, it would help a lot of you have someone that can show you the basics of player with long pips, as it's quite a different style of play. If you don't have anyone, you might want to consider playing with inverted on both sides first, to develop your style a little further....

I have been told (first day of playing) that you need to learn to play regular TT before specializing and I highly doubt any coaches would disagree.

For now, I will stick to my cheap lower quality Lazer blade I guess.

Defenda, you'd be better off ordering that setup but with 2 lightening rubbers and then you can change to the Neptune later on.

Its not going to cost you a whole lot more to use this setup, it will benefit you now and also in the future as you'll have a flexible setup that you'll be very comfortable with by the time you are ready to try LP. And it will serve you well as a double inverted setup in the meantime.

Just do what you heart tells you to do defenda... you've been longing for long pips for ages.

If you just want to have a BH strictly for defense puporses then it's better to start now.
