This weekend at the University of Nottingham Sports Village, more than 170 players compete for a top 14 position to join the top seeds in March final. Today is a round-robin group stage, with seeded groups of 8, and the top two proceeding to the knock out stage tomorrow. The standard will be varied - the top male seed is Darius Knight, with Shaqille Webb-Dixon second. There are some unranked players who are very strong veterans, who could cause problems, some under-ranked and rapidly improving juniors, and then a range of players from about my level up.
