I recently went to the Philippines and visited their store hidden upstairs on Taft avenue. you had to go up a dark driveway and to say....I was VERY impressed when I walked in. Being from the states we do not have stores such as this and I felt I was in a candy store.
I have picture of the inside if someone would tell me how to download them to the site.

Claude who happen to be there whipped out 1/2 a dozen or so blade with differing rubber he had assembled so I could try them and my visit happen to coincide with the visit of a local coach who also assisted me in my choices. I was only going to pick up one blade and leave. ended up with 2, he assembled them for me. was there for 2 hours and they were attentive the entire time.

call about his recommendations but that place is for real. Call the Taft Avenue store since that is where all the sports stuff is.

Getting ready to go back to Super Store Asia aka pingpongonline. I need to speak to a moderator so I can email you picture of my visits there. anybody have any question about that place. I find claude a wealth of knowledge and good equipment resource. also helps with my stroke concerns. how to adjust my blades. etc etc. my record is walking out with a k in equipment. (to support my crappy game) but I have loads of cool blades well 7.

This store is legit. I have tried buying online and visiting the store. I have bought rubbers at the store as mentioned by Tabletennisdoc. I think the feeling Harry Potter bought his first wand is the same feeling I have when I first visited the store   . With consideration to the dark alley of course.
Anyway I am from the Philippines so no problem for me since it is a local delivery.

Lion. sent you a PM. I disagree with the Harry Potter analogy, though. I feel more like a Charlie in the Chocolate family. LOL. there is so much stuff there I don't know what to choose . So much I would like to try so much stuff. I was wondering if you found Claude as much help as I. For those not as fortunate to visit Claude has returned my emails. I've even 'Vonaged' him on occasion. But that is hit and miss. He is working. Maybe you can post pictures.

Touching story. I'm in my mid 50's and brought my son with me the last time I was there. I told Claude who is in his 30's. Do you know why I'm bring my son here? Because in a few years your sons will be making blades for my son. Sort of a personal moment with him and choked us both for a moment.

I was able to meet Claude before and he personally assisted me. But I do not frequent the store now since I buy my staff on other store ( green paddle ). I plan to go back to taft avenue to buy some stiga rubber ( destroyer ) and a back up TBS blade since he has stock of these items.

Getting ready to make a pilgrimage. I'll need to redo four blades. (Seven sides) one is a j pen. I'll purchase at least one blade more. Maybe two if something catches my eye. I'll bring my camera a download pictures as noted above. I've not been playing well but have good stuff. Really digging the upper xion rubbers although donic plays ok at times just not as sticky. Any questions anybody have as far as delivery choices, supply, etc you may wish me to ask?

Pingpong candyland warehouse at Taft Ave? Time to come home to the Philippines. Maybe I can negotiate (low ball) being I speak the language fluently, lol.

Dont forget to bring your racket Jake and prepare for a beating  . There's a lot of good venue for TT in Manila now. If you wish to play with LP's and anti, there's Harrison. ( Near pingpongonline ). For inverted hardcore, Amoranto. Near Cavite, you could play at Captains and Vernlen. If you wish to amass the most wins, travel north by plane and play at our club

Red Lion, I've been beaten at Cavite City where I grew up by RD players there. Most of them are in Singapore and sponsored by Andro. Maybe I'll ask for a +5, but then again my attacking LP is a game changer, hehe

actually hope to be there before he closes for holy week. I can't get out of there without spending a grand. He usually finds one or two new blades I 'need' and since I come from the states he knows I'll buy. Thank for the offer for negotiating, though.

I probably won't have time to play. my wife's mother is ill and my brother in law will have me playing golf .
