During the recent World Team Table Tennis Championships, after Joo SaeHyuk played some truly excellent matches, I asked OOAK Forum members about sending to Joo SaeHyuk a congratulations email. In response, there were many posts from OOAK Forum members that strongly supported this idea. So, I sent the email below to Joo SaeHyuk. This morning, I received a very nice email from Joo SaeHyuk which is addressed to OOAK Forum members. I think that his message will make all his OOAK fans feel great.

Steven

Dear Mr. Joo SaeHyuk,

The members of the OOAK Table Tennis Forum would like to congratulate you on your excellent play in many of your matches at the recent World Team Table Tennis Championships. To many of us your offense, footwork, and spin variation while chopping looked as great as it has been so many times over the past ten years. As always, watching your matches brings tremendous joy and excitement to all of us.

As you know, the members of the OOAK Forum are probably your greatest fans anywhere in the world. We share your joy when you win matches, and share your disappointment when you loose matches. We wish you all the best and continued success in table tennis.

Also, you may be interested to know that your OOAK Forum interview last year viewtopic.php?f=56&t=22125 has been read so far by 6,923 people from all over the world.

Lastly, we also want to say that we share the sadness with all Koreans over the Sewol Ferry tragedy.

Best wishes,

Steven

I was anticipating that we may receive a very nice thank you email from Joo SaeHyuk at the end of May, since as I recall, the Chinese Superleague has a 2 or 3 week break beginning on May 28.

Its very special to read that we motivate Joo SaeHyuk to train and play even harder. :D

It sure is clear that besides all the support he must receive within Korea, Joo SaeHyuk very much appreciates that there is a whole other global community of OOAK members that are big supporters and fans of him too.

Steven

I don't know if he's ever visited our forum, but he would only have to take one look at our forum logo, and he'll know he's got fans here.

haggisv,

Joo SaeHyuk has definitely visited our forum.

When we sent to him get well wish two years ago, he received the link to the OOAK website viewtopic.php?f=56&t=20449&start=60 which had all of our wishes. From his response, which can be read at the same website, it is clear that he read all of our messages!

Later, Pipsy and I sent an email to Joo SaeHyuk via our contact at the Korean Table Tennis Association. We invited Joo to join the forum if he wishes and if he has the time. We did tell him in that email that his picture is our logo!

Steven

Thanks Birding and TT for the opportunity to communicate with Joo SaeHyuk. Thanks to Mr Joo SaeHyuk for all those exciting games he brings to the table!

Red_lion,

The key persons which helped me to reach Joo SaeHyuk were my old teammate Adham Sharara, who put me in touch with Roy Yun of the Korean Table Tennis Association. Roy Yun helped to ensure that all communications with Joo SaeHyuk, especially our interview with him, went very smoothly.
