I see a lot of you recommend this blade for cpen but no one uses it really, you all have some custom setups.

why is YEO more popular for beginners if a lot people warn other people that it is to fast for beginners.

Even Ma Lin or some other pros used the Sweden Extra, so why there are 10x more YEO users?

is the Sweden Extra too heavy, too slow for RPB? i really dont get it.

It’s not too slow or heavy. I would say it’s pretty light blade but I don’t know exact grams.

It’s a good blade with good feel and decent speed paired with faster rubbers. It will be fine to learn on and develop your fundamentals.

YEO is recommended because it’s just popularized by Ma Lin and maybe some other pros who use a variant of it (e.g., Matthias Flack).

YEO is also not too fast but it’s faster than YSE. Generally faster equipment for new players with no coach is bad because you can develop some bad habits very quickly trying to keep the ball on the table.

Your other two threads lead me to believe you were not a beginner, thus I also recommended YEO and encouraged coaching. Now, I’m thinking YSE is a better option for you.

Just do it.

So what's this YEO again? Apparently not the 7 ply one on Tabletennis11.

This is the YEO, a FIVE ply (not 7 ply) all wood blade.
