This guy is faster and more agile than Xu Xin but lately he's been losing every match.

- He rarely steps away from the table
- His shots seem to either be winners or error
- Most of his winning rallies last 2-3 balls

My theory?
He has a loose, unstable grip.
Whenever he lets loose full swing he seems to be hitting some amazing angles but at the cost of consistency. Watching a lot of his balls go net or out I'm thinking his bat is wobbling from those power shots and that could costing him the points.

What do you think?

He seems to be very inconsistent especially on his forehand side from the matches I’ve watched.

He is quick, indeed! Also with some very deceptive, spinny serves! His RPB is pretty good but maybe he’s relying too much on it and needs to concentrate a bit on his forehand game.

WCT is one of those self-developed players probably joined international later than most Chinese CNT players.

Younger the training, better the perf.

XX is sorta starting to use his RPB more.

WCT is good but he needs more support training him to higher level. XX started way younger and has much more exp.

Thats how i feel about it :-)

I agree, mostly.
XX has real “touch” or “ball feel” that I think not a lot of people have. It’s incredible to watch!
His RPB is freaking deadly now, IMHO. I think he’s really been trying to develop it lately (as I’ve heard from interviews from CNT coaching).
