These 2 blades are very perfect penhold blades.

While Initially I played with the YEO for 1 year and thought it was bad, turns out I got a special case of YEO, the thickness was 6.12mm! No wonder I felt too fast.

After selling it for a very good price, I got another YEO and compared it to my buddy's Sweden Extra.

(We traded blades)

The YEO is specifically made to play a 75-80% Trad. PH + 20-25% RPB.

While the Sweden Extra is made for 60-66% FH + 33-40% RPB.

In other words, these blades were designed to be played differently.

TPB from YEO is a fast and balanced control. Just what you need for a fast block.

However from RPB, Sweden Extra is definitely better, the extra dwell time allows RPB loops and drives to be performed well with moderate speed and great spin. Which is what you need.

FH-wise, the YEO is just a monster, if you have a physique that is sufficient, and attack with straighter arms, this one is for you.

The Sweden Extra on the other hand has a much controllable FH, referring to consistency as its weapon.

So if you want to begin, get SWEDEN EXTRA if you want to play more RPB, and YEO if you want yo play more footwork and FHs.

I’d love to learn where you derived those statistics from!

I agree the YSE is a great blade for beginner to intermediate modern penholders.

I gathered them in a local penhold gathering.
Most of us use YEO, YSE, Clipper (Non-WRB CR/Non-CR)

We have very little such YEO/Clipper users.

Out of 9 people, only 3 used it.

We (obviously, being EJs) tried each others racket

Clipper was definitely not made specifically for better RPB, it simply was to thick, hurting your pointer after a while

YEO's RPB dwell time was insufficient for consistent RPB* (i.e. exclusively using it return BH area, however there was pivoting sometimes)

While the YSE can't perform the really insane fast shots such as FH Flick, and fast loop like YEO, Clipper**

As for rubbers, it's H3/H3NEO on FH or 729 super FX and the Mercury II hard (for clipper only)
Ironically, all the FH rubbers were black.

RPB is either 729 skywing, palio ak47 blue/yellow, yasaka mark V or stiga mendo

*Most rallies play within 6-8 shots, we found RPB on YEO would have 3 errors per set out of 8 times.
YSE users have only have 6 errors in 19 times.

**Actually it can, but the speed is very noticeable in difference

I didn't turn on my subscription for this forum lol
