Just found this match between JO and Koji. They don't seem to be taking the game too seriousy (JO doesn't even bother to concentrate before he serves). Anybody knows what kind of competition it is? Some kind of Killerspin ciontest? JO is very good at making Koji loose his balance by combining loose and hard loops with different placement. He is vary good against defenders. And it is very entertaining to watch

thats the TSN killerspin show...about the best table tennis u get in North America on TV.

they actually use 44mm balls....and i think it got cancelled....

Chen Qi used to dominate it!

Deffy, I don't think this is a very serious competition. It's a show centered around Waldner; just look at the flashback and such. So he's destinated to win the match...
If you see who's in best shape, I think Waldner spoke to Koji before the match and said to take it easy on him. Just look at the smashes Koji misses: if he was playing serious, he would blast them to oblivion and back.

I watched the first 10 minutes of the first vid. I think you only need the subtitles for the technical part of the exercise (e.g. how to do a certain stroke). How to do the exercises can be seen clearly.

Great video!!!
From what I get :

1. Around 4 minutes mark, 3rd shot - place the ball to the corner, away from power zone.
2. around 6 minutes, hit it quicker, off the bounce.
3. late part - instead of straight fishing, hook it a bit. + After fast push to FH corner, chop to BH corner then loop to FH corner.

2nd video - move Right foot back to create space for FH chop.

Damn, this is good. thanks a lot! I have been struggeling with that fishing part (@11:20 first film) and Miuchi is very good at that. I think I got some clues even though I don't understand a word they say.

For the fishing its nice to see when you hook the racket angle, the ball will move sideward on the opponent's side of the table.
I got an alternative to fishing, its a long-range smash, just a fish but with brute forward force, the spin from the opponent is sufficient to bring the ball down afterwards ;) Very effective for me.
