This fellow is playing in Swedish Open. I think his first match (in a few hours) will be filmed and broadcasted on itTV.

If he was using inverted there would hardly be the need to flip the blade after the serve, because even inverted with thin sponge can produce a good amount of spin.

THe pic looks like a pip just based on the label, but maybe he uses short pips or medium.

Either way he's pretty awesome:)

My friend just filmed his loss against Wang Hao. If it is good quality I'll post it, earliest on monday.

He's not using inverted anymore, he was in the past but now I think he's using shortpips, at least it's some kind of pip.

What a great find.

His opponent wasn't a true power looper (at least against u/s) but Yuto is chopping incredibly well on his f/h considering he's using T64 2.1. (Gives me hope!)

Love his movement around the table too. He looks awkward, but seemed to move well.

I can't believe what I just saw. :o :o :o

(He gave away points due to nerves as well.)

The attacks with 1.0mm short pips, the attacking skill for a serious chopper of how old?

Stunning.

Most of the match Wang Hao vs. Yuto Muramatsu (filmed by my friend who travelled 500 km to watch the competition). Camera ran out of battery at the end of the third set. And it is Vang Bora's head that causes some visability issues in set 4 and 5 :D

The last minute? of the third is missing.

Still gob smacked.

If he had a coach to tell him to stop putting the ball wide to Hao's f/h (from which he is getting killed with a wide angled return in the narrow courts, point after point, set after set), the final result could have been even more jaw dropping.

I think my friend missed that last minute, otherwise I would have gotten it...
I think Wang Hao's serves (short, no-spin or light top spin, to Yuto's FH) forced him to place the ball there. But he could try to flip it on occassion...

Wow this guy is really good !!
So young and reached the round of 64 and played an epic 5 match against Wang Hao.

Wang could play easy or is unusual against his style but dang I got good hopes for this young chopper :)
