Of course! it's the new Nexy blade!

Based on the tournament dates, looks like she tried it for a bit and went back to the real JSH blade.

It's easy to see that it's a Stiga vertical... thanks to the photos above. But how do you guys know it's a 20 vs 55?
The sponge needs to be White but she covers her rackets with a wide edge tape.

Isn't the 20 sponge baby blue-ish? and the 55 white?

I have the 55 sponge and it is grey.

Btw do you know which sponge was she using when she played with the Do Knuckle ? Do Knuckle sponge is white but she had a red sponge on it

I'm not entirely confident on this but I thought the sponge looked a little similar to the Do Knuckle 44 red-orange sponge which has 20 degree sponge hardness (according to this website https://www.nittaku.com/products/rubbers/post-54 ). So it's possible Sato (along with Hashimoto) had sheets of Do Knuckle with the custom sponge to use.

Honestly I highly doubt she played with a "custom sponge". Many people believe that pros use something magical or special only made for them but that's been proven wrong time and time again. Yes, some obsess over rubbers and blades (like Timo does), but most just go out there and train hard and use whatever their sponsor gives them.

I apologize for spreading false information on custom sponges, I was attempting to possibly answer the question that Rinforzando asked. By no means do I mean to discredit any of the hard work training that Sato and other players have gone through. I will be more careful next time.

Well, custom sponge isn't a bad thing at all. I was just curious if you can get the same setup as her or not. Because the sponge she is using with her Do Knuckle isn't by any way the original sponge of the Do Knuckle when you buy it.

Is she still using Stiga vertical 20 in 1.5?

After doing a quick search on Japanese Twitter, this is a closeup from this tournament. As you can see, she is still using a Stiga Vertical LP but it's really difficult to determine whether or not it is 20 or 55 because her index finger covers exactly where the number is displayed, so it's all speculative until we see a closeup of her racket on the table. But for the rest of her equipment, it's the Goriki Supercut (as shown by the tag on the handle, compared to the Danshi tag) and D09C.

I think Sato played very well against Hirano.

Goriki Supercut being stiff and hard, I bet she uses vertical 20.....

My theory is : fastish, hard, stiff blade with soft sponge,....... all round , slow blade with hard sponge...

That is how I can easily control p1r in either 0.5 or 1.0......
