This is a must watch match!

Pretty sure Sato is not using Tenergy on her FH cause it can be seen on some photos and on the TV translation that her sponge is blue :)
She's currently participating in the Japan Open and playing like.. right now :)

Wow, that was an awesome match!!! So many great ralleys!

If she's sponsored by Nitaku, it might be one of the Nittaku hurricane 3 variants.

What a stone-wall defence against Ding Ning, super solid. Very impressive!!! Watch the first point in third (or fourth?) set. Imagine being in Ding Ning’s shoes after that, knowing that that was just one point, many more to go :phew:.

I did - 69 to be exact inlcuding serve and the one that Ding fluffed at the end. What a rally and deservedly Stiga point of the day.

This was a real humdinger of a match. Hayata-san actually had Ito-san on the defensive in a few rallies. She attacks with her pips several times. And Ito-san does some amazing drop shots. I'm thinking this "scorpion tail sting" must be Ito's inside-out forehand kill. Lots of good matches out of this Hungarian Open. Or maybe they're just posting more videos on YouTube.

That rally at 11:09... wow. They sure can move. You don't usually see these close-to-the-net-over-the-edge-of-the-table types of shot at this level of play.

I think only Bobrow calls it that.

Reference (I think!) is more to Mima's service (particularly posture pre serve) which resembles a scorpion before it launches an attack to sting
