Recently found this guy on youtube and though some might enjoy. Chops on both back- and forehand and constantly twiddles.
Plays 3rd Bundesliga. Equipment is TSP Balsa 3.5, Victas V15 Extra, TSP Curl p1r
Has a channel on youtube.
He won the Ulster Open in 2015 as a 17 year old:

Do you all notice how on his BH chops he puts his left hand on his elbow/proximal forehand to sort of guide his arm? This ensures his elbow stays close to the body, and that the stroke utilizes the elbow as a hinge.

I have an issue where I put my arm too far out to the side and the elbow and entire arm swings kind of to the side rather than using the elbow enough (kind of ugly). I wonder if this would help correct that.

I don't see a lot of it in the later videos and even in the first one it felt like I could only 'see' it when he was facing away from camera, so an illusion, perhaps :) ?

One thing I did notice: he moves in and out a lot, dropping back almost immediately (how come no one does drop shots on him, they keep looping it...). I just don't have that much space in the club ;( , perhaps it's a bigger issue than I realized.

Well, he doesn't always touch it, but his hand always goes near the elbow/forearm area, and then he swings them both out at the same time. You're right, it looks more prevalent form the front. But even from the side or behind he does it here and there.

I still think there is a proprioceptive thing going on there. Perhaps he did that more so when he began as a habit-builder and then it's just sort of stuck.

Re: Drop shot...i saw it a few times. perhaps because his short game is so good, he is able to spin the ball up close to the table before dropping back. Also, he twiddles so much, the opponent has to think too much, maybe they are on autopilot because they're watching the rubber too much to see what kind of spin is on the ball.
Interesting observation tho.

I am subbed so saw this straight away. Absolutely amazing to watch this, if this doesn't hype you up as a classic or modern defender then I dunno what will.

Could be. But I think it's a nice little guide to have...if you can incorporate it into your stroke.

According to the comments, the guy he played against is a known defense killer and this was his first win against him.

Well played and a great win for Daniel. Dwain may be a defense killer but surely portrayed being a bad loser from his reaction at the end of the match.

Still my all-time favourite amateur to watch. I probably watch more of his videos than I do of the professional players!

I'd love to know what ball they were using in that match. It seemed horribly... wobbly and floaty? Like it was hanging around in the air. I'll ask!

Hmm, I don't think I've ever seen Chtet lose to another chopper! Maybe against Weixing or Joo, some extreme world class players, but don't recall seeing any such match.

The crafty old fox seems to always beat the younger defenders... why is that!
