She's growing up. Her body is changing and getting stronger. More is coming. With better condition training...with stronger legs and upper body she'll become even a bigger threat. She rocks!
Her forehand heavy chopping specially deserves to be mentioned.
Her Victas KM feels like very good for chopping but a bit too flexy and slow to support her attacks. However she's still a ''classical chopper,
it won't be a surprise to see her with a slightly faster blade like Victas KMO kind of and/or with 1.5 mm. Curl P1V in a close future.

Faster blade? chops went long many times; for example, she lost the first set for being inconsistent.

She lost sets and she won sets... And she won the match.
Many chops went short too...
Chopping is nothing but all consistent and inconsistent, both winner and loser shots. Both successful and failured chops included.
Faster blade? Yes...maybe...just an impression due to her ongoing physical changing and playing.

Ojio won the feeder event today against Lily Zhang.

I love watching her play.

I agree. Within reason, "faster" doesn't mean out of control in defense. Slower blades may dampen incoming spin, but they also require the user to poke more, which leads to inconsistency in certain situations. Joo blade is a great example of how a faster blade can be more stable.

I think the latest trend is faster blade/slower pips. Many Japanese choppers use Vertical 20, Ma Te swtiched to the P4 which also has a 20 degree sponge. He also up'ed his blade from VKMO to DHS 08x. I agree that faster doesn't mean out of control.

Ma Te switched to P4? Where did you see that?

I already posted in his thread. It's on the last page, the source is quite reputable.
